Aman grew up in a household where every expense is thought through carefully. His father works in a low-income job with irregular earnings, and his mother manages the home. There are no backup sources of income, no financial cushion to fall back on. Yet, what the family does have is a shared understanding that education matters, even when it comes at a cost they can barely afford.
That belief carried Aman through one of his most defining milestones. With a 97.47 percentile in JEE Mains, he secured admission to the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, in Mechanical Engineering. For many, this would be the culmination of years of effort. For Aman, it was just the beginning of a new challenge. The fees, hostel expenses, books, and daily costs quickly turned into a constant source of stress.
Instead of stepping back, Aman adapted. He taught himself video editing using tools like CapCut and VN, not as a hobby alone, but as a way to build a skill that could open doors. He helps peers with presentations, editing, and academics whenever he can, quietly contributing without expecting recognition. In college, he stays consistent with assignments, group work, and learning, even when financial concerns weigh heavily on him.
His sense of responsibility extends beyond his own life. Through NSS, Aman volunteers in community initiatives and teaches two underprivileged girls, helping them with their studies and encouraging them to stay in school. It is a small effort, but one that reflects how he sees education not just as a personal goal, but as something that should reach others too.
Receiving the Lakshya Scholarship from Shiksha Sankalp Society is not just financial support for Aman. It is relief. It allows him to focus a little more on learning and a little less on worrying about how the next semester will be managed. More importantly, it validates the quiet work he has been putting in all along.
Looking ahead, Aman’s plans are simple and grounded. He wants to secure a stable job in the engineering or technical sector, support his family, and continue building his skills. If circumstances allow, he hopes to pursue further studies. And somewhere in that future, he carries a clear intention to support students who are in situations similar to his own.
There is nothing flashy about Aman’s journey. But there is something deeply steady about it. And sometimes, that kind of consistency is what truly sets a story apart.
