Himanshu, a student of Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, has always believed that determination can shape opportunities. His path to IIT was not easy. After his first attempt at JEE Advanced did not secure him the branch he hoped for, he decided to take a gap year. With the support of online coaching from Motion Classes and guidance from his school’s Navodaya coaching, he prepared once again, this time with greater focus and clarity. His hard work paid off, and he earned a place at one of India’s most prestigious institutes.
For Himanshu, choosing IIT Delhi was not only about academic excellence but also about the environment of learning, exploration, and innovation that the institute offers. His curiosity about engineering and passion for building new things have been his driving forces. Looking ahead, he dreams of becoming an entrepreneur who creates solutions that make life easier for people.
Behind this journey lies the story of a family that has stood by him. His father works in a factory, often in conditions similar to that of a daily wage worker. The family leads a modest life in a rented accomodation in Delhi, where every expense is carefully managed. His younger sister is still in school, and like many families, they prioritize education even while keeping other needs minimal.
At IIT Delhi, Himanshu has been granted a fee waiver that covers his tuition. Yet, managing the hostel fee remains a challenge for his family. It is here that the support of the Shiksha Sankalp Lakshya Scholarship has made a real difference. With this scholarship, Himanshu can focus on learning and growing without the constant worry of how to cover his stay at the institute.
For Himanshu, this support is more than financial assistance; it is encouragement to keep moving forward. It allows him to direct his energy toward his education, his projects, and his vision for the future. He carries with him not only his own aspirations but also the quiet strength of his family and the belief that with persistence and support, he can build something meaningful.
