Haryana Super 100

A Visit That Inspired — SSS at the Haryana Super 100 Campus

Haryana Super 100 is a flagship Public-Private Partnership programme of the Haryana Government, initiated in 2018, to enable meritorious students from government schools to gain admission to premier higher educational institutions across India. Students who score 80% or above in Class 10 are eligible to apply. Those selected receive fully free coaching for JEE and NEET, along with lodging, food, stationery, transport, and mock tests – all borne by the state government.

The programme operates through two centres – Rewari and Panchkula – and is implemented in partnership with Vikalp Foundation. Shri Naveen Mishra, a native of Madhubani, Bihar, and an alumnus of IIT Delhi, founded Vikalp in 2013 with a mission to prepare students from government schools for India’s most competitive entrance examinations. In 2017, his meeting with Shri Raj Narayan Kaushik, then Additional Commissioner, Narnaul, proved to be the catalyst that transformed Vikalp’s grassroots work into a state-backed programme. Shri Navin Mishra continues to lead the Kurukshetra centre, and his approach, rigorous in academics, warm in mentorship, is central to what makes Super 100 work.

Mr. Harish Nagpal, founder  of Shiksha Sankalp Society, visited the Super 100 campus and spent time with students, with Shri Naveen Kumar Mishra, and with Shri Rajnarayan Kaushik. The conversations were candid and moving. The students, many of them the first in their families to aspire to an IIT or a medical college, spoke with quiet confidence about their preparation and their goals. What struck Mr. Nagpal most was not just their academic seriousness, but their sense of belonging: the feeling that someone had invested in them, believed in them, and built a community around their ambitions.

Super 100 and Shiksha Sankalp Society are different in form but aligned in spirit. Both exist because we believe that talent is evenly distributed across our society, but opportunity is not. This visit has opened a door for ongoing dialogue, and we look forward to learning from and contributing to this extraordinary initiative. Shiksha Sankalp Society thanks Shri Naveen Kumar Mishra and Shri Rajnarayan Kaushik  for their generous time and for the work they do every day in the service of India’s young people.
