When Nazneen walks across the campus of Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), she carries with her more than books and notes. She carries the quiet determination of a young woman who grew up hearing that girls from her community rarely completed school, let alone pursued a degree in education. Yet here she is, in her first year of the Bachelor of Elementary Education program at Delhi University, already reshaping expectations for every girl who will come after her.

Nazneen’s story begins in a small family that migrated from Bihar to Delhi with a simple but courageous dream: education. Her father, a tailor, left behind the familiarity of home so his daughter could study without barriers.
