About the Scholarship

The Shiksha Sankalp Lakshya Scholarship is a transformative initiative by the Shiksha Sankalp Society to support meritorious students from economically challenged backgrounds who have completed their Class 12 education. This program is designed to help students pursue quality higher education and build strong professional careers.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Students enrolled in regular full time undergraduate programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, or Pharmacy at Government, State, Central, or Public University in India, are eligible for a scholarship. The final scholarship amount will be determined after assessing the student’s needs, circumstances, and eligibility, up to a maximum of INR 1,00,000 per academic year.
  • Students pursuing other regular full time undergraduate degrees including non STEM and non technical courses at UGC and NAAC accredited institutes may also be considered for an annual scholarship based on a case by case evaluation.
  • The scholarship is renewable annually until course completion (within the standard duration), subject to continued eligibility, academic performance, and compliance with scholarship terms and conditions.
  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in STEM programs and to those who are the first in their family to pursue a college degree.
Through this initiative, Shiksha Sankalp Society reaffirms its commitment to removing financial barriers and nurturing future leaders and changemakers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Only students who are Indian citizens are eligible
  • Passed Class 12 with a minimum of 85% marks
  • Currently enrolled in the first year of a regular full-time undergraduate program at a Government, State, Central, or Public University in India.
  • Family income below ₹6.00 Lakhs per year

Mandatory Documents

  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Entrance Exam Result (NEET/JEE/CUET/ANY OTHER)
  • Aadhaar card (for identity and address proof)
  • University ID Card or Admission Proof confirming the student’s full-time status, including their name, student ID No, and term/year of enrollment.
  • Proof of family income (any one of the following):
  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) (for salaried or self-employed)
  • Government-issued income certificate (for unemployed/no taxable income)
  • Self-declared affidavit (only if formal documents are unavailable; Acceptance will be considered on a case-by-case basis.)

Note: All documents are mandatory. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

How to apply for the scholarship?

If you meet the eligibility criteria, follow the steps below to apply for the Shiksha Sankalp Lakshay Scholarship:

  • Click on the ‘Apply for Scholarship’ button.
  • Complete and submit the application form by filling in all required details (fields marked with * are mandatory).
  • Upload and submit all the necessary supporting documents.
Note: Incomplete applications or those missing required documents will not be considered by the Scholarship Committee.
The selection process is designed to ensure that scholarships are awarded to the most deserving candidates. It includes the following steps:
  • Initial shortlisting based on academic excellence and financial need.
  • Document verification to confirm the accuracy of submitted details.
  • Video interview with shortlisted candidates. May include a brief conversation with the parents.
  • Final selection of scholars.
Note: The final decision on awarding scholarships rests solely with the Shiksha Sankalp Society.

The interview is a simple conversation to understand you better as a student and as a person. We will discuss your educational background, family and financial circumstances, career goals, and the information you shared in your application. No special preparation is required. We encourage you to speak honestly and openly about your experiences, goals, and the challenges you have faced.

The scholarship may be renewed annually until the completion of the selected course, provided the course is completed within the prescribed duration, and the following conditions are met:

  • Continuous Enrolment: You must remain enrolled in regular academic sessions.
  • Compliance: You must comply with all the terms and conditions of the Shiksha Sankalp Lakshya Scholarship program.
  • Academic Performance: You must maintain a minimum academic performance of 65% or its equivalent each year, as per the grading system of your respective program.
    An official transcript or marksheet for each academic year must be submitted to Shiksha Sankalp Society annually for review.
The renewal of the scholarship each year is subject to the sole discretion of the Shiksha Sankalp Society.

The scholarship amount will preferably be disbursed directly to the university’s bank account. In some cases, it may be transferred to the bank accounts of scholars enrolled in educational institutions.

No, there is no entrance exam. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and interview assessment.

No, you are not required to repay the scholarship amount.
