Meet Shiksha Sankalp Scholar Harsh Bansal

Harsh, a B.Tech student in Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, grew up in a modest family where education was always a priority, even amidst financial constraints. He studied at Ramjas Senior Secondary School No. 4 in Delhi, where his academic dedication stood out early on. His hard work and determination paid off when he achieved an exceptional 99.94th percentile in the JEE Advanced, earning him admission to one of India’s most prestigious engineering institutes.

At IIT, Harsh’s journey took an unexpected turn when he discovered programming. What began as a casual interest quickly grew into a deep passion. Today, Harsh dreams of becoming a software engineer, someone who can build scalable, meaningful tech solutions that touch lives. His background in Chemical Engineering gives him a unique lens for problem-solving, but his heart lies in coding and creation.

Like many students from modest backgrounds, Harsh faced the growing costs of education, books, internet, software, and learning opportunities like workshops or hackathons were often out of reach. Despite his drive and talent, financial limitations made it hard to fully explore these avenues. That’s where Shiksha Sankalp Society stepped in to support him and make these opportunities possible.
