Shiksha Sankalp Lakshya Scholarship

This is a transformative initiative by the Shiksha Sankalp Society designed to empower meritorious students, from economically challenged backgrounds who have completed their 12th-grade education. This forward-looking program supports students in accessing quality higher education and building successful professional careers.

    Under this scholarship:

    • Students enrolled in professional degree programs such as Engineering, MBBS, LLB and Pharmacy, at NAAC/UGC accredited institutes are eligible to receive 50% of their tuition and 100% of their hostel fees (where applicable).
    • Students enrolled in other undergraduate programs at NAAC/UGC accredited institutes may also be considered for a fixed annual scholarship to support their academic journey, subject to evaluation on a case-by-case basis.
    • The scholarship is renewable annually and it will continue until the course completion, provided it is completed within the designated time period.
    • To qualify for renewal in subsequent years, the student must maintain a minimum academic performance of 70% or its equivalent each year, as per the grading system of their respective program.
    • Preference will be given to applicants who are the first graduates in their family over those who are the second or third child pursuing graduation.

    Through this initiative, Shiksha Sankalp Society reaffirms its commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and changemakers by removing financial barriers to higher education.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Passed Class 12 with minimum 85% marks
  • Currently enrolled in the first year of a regular full-time undergraduate degree program at a recognized university
  • Annual family income must be less than INR 5.00 Lacs.

Mandatory Documents

Students must submit the following mandatory documents along with their application:

  1. Class 12 marksheet
  2. Recent passport-sized photograph
  3. Aadhaar card for identity and address proof
  4. University Admission letter
  5. Proof of family income: Submit at least one of the following documents based on your family’s employment status:
    • If salaried/self employed
      • Latest Income Tax Returns Form (complete form).
    • If no taxable income/unemployed
      • Government issued income certificate.
    • Self-Declared/Affidavit: To be submitted only in cases where formal income documents are unavailable. Acceptance will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Return to the ‘Scholarships’ page and click the ‘Upload Supporting Documents’ button.

Note: Incomplete applications or those missing required documents will not be considered by the Scholarship Committee.

What is the selection process for Shiksha Sankalp Lakshay Scholarship?

The selection process is designed to ensure that scholarships are awarded to the most deserving candidates. It includes the following steps:

  • Initial shortlisting based on academic excellence and financial need.

  • Document verification to confirm the accuracy of submitted details.

  • Telephonic interview with shortlisted candidates, followed by a family background verification.

  • Final selection of scholars.

Note: The final decision on awarding scholarships rests solely with the Shiksha Sankalp Society.

Will I get this scholarship for subsequent years of my studies?

The scholarship is renewable annually and will continue until the completion of the selected course, provided the course is completed within the prescribed duration.

However, to qualify for renewal in subsequent years, scholars must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain continuous enrollment in regular academic sessions (evidence of continued attendance and promotion to the next academic year must be submitted).

  • Achieve a minimum academic performance of 70% or its equivalent each year, based on the grading system of their respective program.

The renewal of the scholarship each year is subject to the sole discretion of the Shiksha Sankalp Society.

If selected, how will I receive the scholarship amount?

The scholarship amount will be disbursed directly to the bank accounts of the scholars enrolled in educational institutions.

Is there an entrance exam for the scholarship?

No, there is no entrance exam. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and preference criteria.

Will I need to repay the scholarship amount after completing my studies?

No, you are not required to repay the scholarship amount.

However, in the future, if you’re in a position to give back, we would be grateful if you chose to support others in need, whether through mentorship, volunteering, or financial contributions, as a way to pay it forward and uplift others, just as you have been supported.
